On February 20, 2007, Jeremy Burton, group president of the Security and Data Management group of
Symantec Corporation (“Symantec”), submitted his resignation as an executive officer of Symantec,
effective as of March 2, 2007, to pursue a role as chief executive officer of another technology
company.
