On September 2, 2008, Vital Images, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that its Board of Directors appointed James B. Hickey, Jr., a Director since 1998, as Chairman of the Board. He succeeds Douglas M. Pihl, the Company’s Chairman since 1997. Mr. Pihl continues to serve as a Director of the Company. Director Gregory J. Peet will become Chairman of the Compensation Committee, succeeding Mr. Hickey, who will remain a Member of the Committee.
