lyric_culture.jpgThis article won't have anything to do with American Idol. I'm not into this. Today, we've got some fresh meat joining our spammers club. And that is Lyric Jeans (LYJN.PK). Applause.

Let me start first with the news that the stock of Lyric Jeans has been recently promoted on a spam campaign. If you had an email encouring you to buy this stock, I would suggest you delete it, or just flush your money down the toilet. There are millions of other ways to invest. For example, Vonage, which we featured yesterday.

Good. So let's see what Lyric Jeans (LYJN.PK) is actually doing on the market? Well, Lyric Culture is a music-driven apparel company involving lyrical content on jeans, denim wear and accessories. Each item reflects the song through its design.

You may ask now what does Lyric Jeans have to do with American Idol. Apparently, the company has been running a "Be An 'American Idol' for a Day" sweepstakes.

I did try hard to find any numbers that might possibly change my position on Lyric Jeans. All I found was a press release dated in February, 27th, saying that it had increased its retail account list by 25% in less than six weeks, for its premium lifestyle brand Lyric Culture. Hanna Rochelle Schmieder, President of Lyric Culture, then commented: "We are thrilled with the response to our new KISS and Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame collections, as well as the addition of new product categories such as cashmere and sherpa hoodies, dresses, tunics, pants and scarves." And last week they issued a press release touting another new distribution outlet, the 300 branches of Dillard's department stores. This is all great, but what are the $$, sales? costs? profits? assets? capital?

Shares were headed down to $0.004 from a 52 week high of $0.14, last time I dug for information about Lyric Jeans, . How much can you lose on a penny stock?.... $0.136 - 97.1% of your investment, if you bought at the high!
