United Consortium, an international distributor of consumer goods, recently announced new details of the expansion strategy .
The company has recently changed its stock symbol to UCSO. Also it has announced a 1 for 1,600 reverse stock split of its outstanding common shares as part of a necessary capital restructuring.
"The recent announcements regarding my taking over as the new CEO and President, our name change, and recent capital restructuring, signals a new era for the company," said Gonzalo Lage, CEO and President of United Consortium. "We intend to continue recruiting senior management, partners, product licensors, and acquisition targets that can add immediate impact to our operation. We have a plan, we have products and business at hand, and we intend to keep our shareholders informed during this transition period."
The company's main goal is to acquire brands that are already known in the share market. Despite the absence of a business, the company does not lack for one thing - optimism! But I've seen the same situation hundred of times and some of those companies have met their doom, while others are now fighting for their survival.
Will United Consortium be different? Time will tell. But the management of this company is already using spam as a tool of their expansion. I sense, that this kind of strategy might end up in tears. At the end of the day, I am staying away from this company, at least for the time being.
