Recently, after the terrific showing of Everock Inc. (PINK:EVRN, EVRN message board) products at different food expos, EVRN stock also made a terrific show. The share price jumped 0.0004 cents, or 7.39%, to $0.0095 yesterday. The stir started last Friday. Since then the stock price increased 26.7%.Starting with lackadaisical volume traded at the end of the previous week, EVRN stock closed yesterday with more than 17 millions trades.
This Monday, in a press release, Paul Wilkinson, CEO of Everock Inc. said "We had a terrific show at the San Francisco Fancy Food Show January 17-19 and then March 12-14 in Anaheim at the Natural Foods Expo West."
But the real show, with an unpredictable end for EVRN investors, started just yesterday. One of the possible reasons for EVRN stock movement is yesterday's promotional campaign of the stock .
In order to increase investor awareness and raise demand for the company's stock, Everock Inc payed the promoter "Stock Egg" twenty five thousand dollars for a one time alert.
Only for the stock promotional campaign in October, last year, EVRN paid to promoters:
- $2,500 cash for a two-week (10/22 - 11/04) EVRN investor relations contract
- $500 from a third party
- 10,000,000 free trading shares from a non-affiliate third party shareholder of EVRN in return for OTCRs services to publicly and electronically disseminate information pertaining to EVRN, of which 10,000,000 free trading shares of which have been sold.
If you take a look at the price chart here, you will find out almost linear dependance between the EVRN stock stir and the dates of the last year stock promotional campaigns. It is clear that stocks with high volatility are related with higher risks. The quick increasing of the share price does not necessarily means profit for the investor. If you decided to buy during EVRN stock promotion on Thursday, Oct 22, 2009, when the price was $0.017, assuming that yesterdays' price of shares was $0.0095, today you will realize that your loss is 44%. And this negative return on your investment was result of the information that you have revived by e-mail with promises for huge stock gains.
In addition to the above, EVRN in its most recent financial reports announced the company's loss, the lack of capital for operations and zero sales.
