El Capitan Precious Metals, Inc. (OTC:ECPN) Takes Drastic Measures to Stop the Free Fall

by Martin Tsvetkov December 6, 2011
4ECPN_chart.pngEl Capitan Precious Metals, Inc. (OTC:ECPN) has been on a downward spiral for the last six months. Now, the company has decided to put its primary asset on sale.

Indeed, a new press release popped up yesterday, informing market players that the preparation of the long-awaited 43-101 document for the New Mexican El Capitan project was going full steam ahead. In fact, the document needs substantial revision because it has not been updated for four years now. However, ECPN already announced on Nov 8 that it expected to have the document ready by the end of November.

Now that there are two independent labs involved with the verification of the new assays that will be performed, it will take more time to complete the 43-101, which will in turn delay the company's efforts to sell the property. The exact same property which was believed to be abundant in gold deposits.

3ECPN_logo.pngWhat is the real motif behind this decision? The news has already received mixed investor reactions. Some perceive the prospective transaction as a prolific commercial opportunity, while others have already bet against it. Yet, one thing remains unclear - if ECPN's managers really consider the El Capitan Project to be rich in precious metals, then why have they decided to get rid of it now? Anyway, if what they surge for is a way to maximise stock value, this will hardly happen, especially considering that ECPN lost more than 10% yesterday, heading straight for new depths on the chart.

Quotes This company has terrible management--nothing accomplished --just constant delays.

Quotes ECPN is an exploration company. It was never the Company's intent to mine the site itself. Goal from day one is to determine the value of the Company's claim and then sell.
