Now you could be the owner of a gold record awarded to Jackson for Thriller in 1982. More than 1,000 items from the careers of Jackson and his family will be sold by Guernsey's auctioneers in Las Vegas on 30-31 May.
Michael Jackson did to try to stop an auction of his personal and some Jackson family items as he was not present in Vegas court last Friday.
CEO of Universal Express , Richard Altomare, put some pressure on the singer’s side as Mr Altomare said he would include some embarrasing things in terms of Chidren nudity, if Jackson pressed his legal action. He said, he found some paintings Jackson made of naked boys.
Mr Altomare threatend the King of Pop, as he earlier told the New York Post: "This is stuff we have kept from the auction out of respect to Mr. Jackson. The guy has troubles. We all have skeletons in the closet and, if Michael hadn't put up a fuss, I might have quietly, discreetly, just given it to him. I'm a gentleman...but if he pisses me off, I may end up auctioning them."
However, it is very doubtable about their estimated value. "The suing machine" annouced that the auction estimates from $30,000,000 to $200,000,000.
The company is claiming that shareholders will get a cash dividend of 20%. Whatever money company is looking forward to get it will be divided by at least $14 billion.
A bankrupting $22 mln lawsuit verdict
However there is another side of the story. "The suing machine" owners claim this stuff they bought for 5 million is worth up to 200 million, but beware of any claims from this company, because Universal Express Inc. facing a company bankrupting $22 mln lawsuit judgement.
New York Federal District Court Judge, Gerar Lynch , sued the Boca Raton-based company for a penalty of 21.9 milion, $3.1 million against CEO Richard Altomare and $794,711 against corporate counsel Chris Gunderson.
Lynch accused them of violating trading laws by selling unregistered shares of Universal Express and issuing misleading press relleases to inflate the value of those securites.
Altomare and Gunderson will be not acting as an officer or director and permenantly will not be able to take part in offering penny stocks, which are worth less than $5.
Also the judge ordered Universal Express Universal Express to stop raising capital with unregistered shares.
In December, the company reached a definative agreement to pay $5 million to buy the Jackson family memoriblia from a construction company owner.
The company was trying to make an appeal.
