Denmark Bancshares, Inc. ("DBI") was formed in 1983 as a Wisconsin bank holding company for the purpose of acquiring and holding the Common Stock of the Denmark State Bank ("DSB"). The holding company was formed to allow DSB to expand its line of financial products, enabling it to compete with other financial institutions. DBI acquired DSB in 1983 through an exchange offer for shares of DSB.
