Our predecessor (“EMJ”) was formed on May 3, 1990, when affiliates of Kelso & Companies Inc. acquired control of and combined two leading metals distributors, Earle M. Jorgensen Company (founded in 1921) and Kilsby-Roberts Holding Co. (successor to C.A. Roberts Company, founded in 1916). In connection with the combination of these two companies, our predecessor became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Earle M. Jorgensen Holding Company, Inc. (“Holding”).
