Fischer-Watt Gold Company, Inc. was formed under the laws of the State of Nevada in 1986. Fischer-Watt's primary business is mining and mineral exploration, and to that end to own, acquire, improve, sell, lease, convey lands or mineral claims or any right, title or interest therein; and to search, explore, prospect or drill for and exploit ores and minerals therein or thereupon.

In 2000, the Company entered into an agreement to sell its producing metals property to Grupo de Bullet in Colombia. In return the Company was to receive three million dollars ($3,000,000). This company subsequently declared bankruptcy and the amount receivable was written off. Effective February 1, 2001, the Company re-entered the exploration stage as a result of the sale of Compania Minera Oronorte S.A.
