Development of Current Business Operations  

The predecessor corporation of Geokinetics Inc. (“Geokinetics” or the “Company”) was organized in 1969 under the laws of California.  The Company was incorporated in Delaware in April 1980, and the California corporation was merged into the Company.  During 1994, the Company acquired certain oil and gas properties from two independent oil and gas companies located in Houston, Texas.    The Company divested its interests in its oil and gas properties during 1999.
