The Company believes that the outsourcing of drug development activities by biopharmaceutical companies has been increasing and will continue to increase as these companies strive to increase revenues through faster drug development while responding to cost containment pressures. The CRO industry, by specializing in clinical trial management, often performs the needed services with a higher level of expertise or specialization at a faster pace and at a lower cost than a biopharmaceutical company could perform internally.
