We were incorporated in Maryland on June 28, 2004, to buy, own and renovate primarily luxury, upper upscale and upscale full-service hotels. We are a hospitality company that owns primarily luxury, upper upscale and upscale hotels in the United States. Our hotels are operated under leading brand names franchised or licensed from others, such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Fairmont and Starwood. As of December 31, 2006, we own 49 hotels, comprising 15,758 rooms, located in 13 states in the United States, and in Washington, D.C. Our portfolio also includes midscale hotels.
