Board of Directors of UMH presently meeting at a southern resort discussing among other things, a bonus for SAL and tellling him what a fine job he is doing. All on your money.
All of the Landy's are there including their families.
Lets wait and see what they decide on the dividend |

| Does anyone know how many people that SAL brought into the company since he started, who were to be his eyes and ears with other employees? How many are still there and what happened to them and what it cost this company in settlements.? Wait till you hear this report. Still verifying names. |

Who started this blog any way? Was this company originated? Has to be since some of the comments end up on UMH site.
Guess it did not turn out as expected. Now someone else wants to shoot himself in the front yard. |

| Sounds like a current employee started it. Doesn't sound too happy with Sam Landy. Neither does anyone else I've had conversations with. But he's the son of the CEO, so I guess he's jsut going to be allowed to pound his new toy (UMH) into the ground until it goes bankrupt. It's a shame. The only thing anyone can do is voice their opinion. |

I just read a post where this building & codes officer for s township near Freehold, N.J. commited sucide on his front lawn and Sam Landy took credit in a future post for his death.
This is very sick coming from the President of a public held company. Now we know what is wrong with UMH?
It is time for his father to take action to save this company. |

| Yeah, that's just shameful, man. Suicide is never something to joke about. These people have families. He should be held accountable for his statements. |

Monticello,
More going on here than what we know. Glad to hear that other residents are taking notice.
Remeber George, he was the worst and also a close friend of Landys. George and the maintenance man went down to Landys farm and fixed water lines and damaged the park truck and ended up bringing the truck back up here and blamed the damage on kids in the park. Don't think that was legal? |

UMH Properties are not maintained as Sam Landy says..the vacant lots (there are many--don't let him kid you!) need to be cleaned up; the grass needs mowed; and when it snows, the roads are not well maintained. In this region, the maintenance "crew" consists of 1 member. He is expected to maintain two properties, in addition to setting up new homes, building porches and decks, repairing water & sewer lines, repairing rentals, etc., in an 8-hour day. There is no overtime paid. In lieu of paying overtime, time off is given. Isn't this against the Federal Wage and Hour Law?
Sam Landy is Cheap...he doesn't pay his vendors until they shut off his credit!!!
Under Sam Landy's direction, UMH Properties is a very poorly managed organization and technologically behind the times. Managers who take the initiative and strive to maintain well run properties are soon ostracized and dismissed for some frivolous reason. He employs Managers, who are either "yes men" or inept relatives, who cater to Sam's lack of communication, lack of business acumen, lack of business ethics, and mood swings.
As far as the residents are concerned..he looks upon them with disdain and fear. Take a ride through one of the properties with him sometime, you'll see how uncomfortable he is. He has no interest in the residents...only the income he receives from them. It enables him to feed his race horses at Congresshill Farms and his skiing vacations!!!!
It's no wonder the stockholders are concerned about their stock falling and are looking to bail out. I would be, too!
Wake up and Open your eyes, Sam Landy! You are running a $Million business, not small corner grocery store!
IF you would eliminate your ego-mania style of management; invest in Capital Property Improvements; upgrade and technologically revamp your office operation; employ honest, responsible managers; increase your maintenance crews; treat your employees fairly, honestly and train them to work as a team; offer competitive wages and benefits; develop a good relationship with your vendors, instead of alienating them; recognize the importance of the residents (without them UMH Properties is nothing); and, manage UMH Properties as a $Million business, you would increase your profit and lower your expenses. The Result: Happy Stockholders, Gold Metal Award winning properties and low rates of vacancy.
Finally, for your information...I am not to be feared, but a responsible, well-paid, college educated resident. |

Did you know that George and the maintenance man were drunk at the time? The accident was turned into the insurance company as vandalism, so they could collect. |
