George is a very smart man (both his knowledge and memory are impressive). However, he is also a micro-manager (attempting to address and control almost every single detail of Bank of the Ozarks).

This controlling nature, and his aggressive (sometimes domineering) personality has led to a company filled with "yes" wo/men. All independent thinkers either tire of the restraints and leave or are "shown the door" for expressing an opposing viewpoint.

The bank has outgrown his ability to micro-manage it.

George needs to let go of some responsibilities. However, I do not believe his ego will allow him to do this. In the end, his ego will probably be his undoing.
