A word of warning to possible investors. If the rest of the cattles organisation is run like the Shopacheck arm (doorstep lending) then they are in deep deep trouble. The practise is to sell to the absolute limit and when the customer cannot afford the re-payments RE-FINANCE THEM that is reduce there re-payments to a fraction of the terms signed for, and then RE-SELL to them. No wonder the bad debt is escalating out of control the true bad debt figure taking into account the hidden re-finance terms must be tremendous.BE WARNED.

Hi, I have been analysing this company for some time. From the first view, this company does not seem to be in a very bad shape. It has enough assets to cover all the debts and they are not dependalble on the inventory to be sold, so that's a rather positive sign of the company.
However, if you count EPS (earnings per share), the situation does not look positive. In a single year, the EPS has gone down by 0.05. After all, I would be really careful about this company.
Do you already own shares of CTT? Or you are just planning to get some?

The news I have heard is that they have all but secured the new £500Million lending facility, they are collecting cash at a decent rate and will be in a strong position once they have weathered the current storm. I suspect that is why the share price rose from 3p to a peak of 7.9p before suspension.

Do you think it might get higher? At least to $3 per share?
The company's assets has decreased in a year and that does not look promising for the performance of CTT.
Total Assets $1,658,000
$4,372,000
In the beginning of the year they were over 4 million, while in the end over 1 million dollars. Let's wait what the first quarter of 2009 is going to show us.

Cattles deserve to keep trading David Postings is working hard to streamline the company and cut back on spending. Not a popular man when he made 10000 staff redundant but it was the only way to go to take the company down to the size it use to be when the shares where high and the dividend was good, let keep our fingers crossed and hope they keep trading they have a lot of loyal staff still with them

Unfortunately so many of the loans and car hps sold are so toxic, not just because of the credit crunch, but because a lot of the agreements are un-enforceable due to missold Insurances (not just PPI), for example, 24 month breakdown cover on a car, paid over 48 months. Many of the agreements in place are a load of bull as they havent been written up correctly within the relevant guidelines etc...many agreements have fee for credit on them which is a charge, but the customer is actually being charged interest on this figure ( I believe this is currently being looked at by the courts!
I would be very suprised if cattles continued trading or the banks bailed them out because it literally money down a drain!
