It would be nice if BDJ would write out of the money puts to either capture additional option premium (in addition to covered calls) or obtain some good stocks at very depressed levels that pay good dividends and are call writing candidates. Taking a portfolio that was almost a billion dollars a couple of years ago and shrinking it to 600-650 million while applying a call writing strategy on supposedly high quality, good dividend stocks according to BDJ's selection method, reflects poorly on a management that failed to capitalize on a good idea.
