He's the worse executive in the entire computer industry. A long track record of getting fired and a wide scale reputation for lack of integrity.

So many executive in RACK. Which one do you have in mind?

By the way, it seems that after the company announced about 11 new servers, the share price started going higher. Though it didn't jump up to 20 but still it may reach at least 15. What others think about it? Shocked

Carl sells a big story about his past but his "successes" have little, if anyting to do with any management input from himself. His sales style was abrupt at best, but more often borderline offensive. With customers he was like a bull in a china shop. Carl would frequently barge into deals where he didn't understand any of the complexity or politics involved and demand orders when sales teams were still building trust and confidence to enable long term purchasing relationships. While being a legend in his own mind with regard to sales capability, the reality was the customers he met didn't want to see him again. The VARs he met didn't want to take him to customers. His own sales people didn't want to take him to VARs and customers. More time was spent repairing relationships post his customer meetings than developing the account to begin with. I wouldn't work for him again, and I would sell the stock of any company he were to join.

Truly one of the worst CEOs I've ever worked under. ClearCube's growth in sales and vertical expansion had little to do with Carl himself, but the ingenious product and stellar sales staff working long hours. Under Carl, the company experienced bloated executive management, hemorrhaged money to executive bonuses, perks, and trips, and product prices skyrocketed. Don't hire him.

Oh, the cheap shots from the cheap seats! Carl brings the difficult executive decision making experience that sets results. His leadership is real with tough standards that move a company forward. He did it at ClearCube and every company his is managed. He's a strong supporter of hard work and success - I disagree with the crybabies!

How could some one be so wrong when Carl and his leadership brought us a 5X growth in revenues, almost 3X in margins, a huge funding and valuation with needed cash, and above all, ClearCube under his Leadership was rated the top 10 Best Place to work in Texas based entirely on private employee surveys. Heck, we didn't even have a bonus plan or 401K plan until Carl got us on track. Sounds like the criticism from (Ugh) and (doubleugh) is coming from low performers who got whacked.

Carl Boisvert is a stand up guy, incredibly bright and a true leader that accomplished much during his ClearCube tenure. He did more to create value than any of the other CEO's who came and went, in spite of an absolutely disfunctional board. He was an absolute pleasure to work for - unless you weren't pulling your weight - no doubt those complaining about him on this site.

Not sure where you are getting your facts from but when Carl was President of NetTest, he was responsible for growing revenues from $60.0m to over $300.0M. I don't know about his other jobs but he was an awesome manager and always promoted from within the company. Carl was a lead from the front guy who worked 24X7. BTW, he was at NetTest almost 4 years

I worked for Carl at 3 companies, always made money and Carl ALWAYS put the customer and sales who interfaced with them first. His comp plans and support to the field were what made every one of his companies and me successful. Wherever he lands, I'd gladly work for him again.

Ikeliz, I see that none has tried to change your attitude towards this company...I just wanted to ask whether you have done a deep analysis of the performance of the company?? eh?
Or you just took a look at the chart and decided that the stock won't ever recover.

You know, it is important not to forget that the stock chart isn't the only thing that indicated the performance of the company...take a look at the reports on the financial and you will understand the whole situation better...

There should be some more people who support my argument...

Take a look and think what is going to bring the future

Rackable Systems, Inc. Announces New C1002 Server to Leverage Latest Trends in Cloud Computing
New Eco-Logical C1002 Chassis Design Delivers Double Storage Capacity and High Density in 1U Form-Factor

Rackable Systems, Inc. (RACK), a leading provider of servers and storage products for large-scale data centers, today announced the immediate availability of the C1002 server utilizing the company's new high density, Eco-Logical(TM) half-depth chassis design. The system leverages the latest advancements from technology providers AMD and Intel, including the new 45 nm Quad-Core AMD Opteron(TM) processor, previously code named "Shanghai." Designed for cloud computing and other intensive Internet environments, the C1002 builds upon Rackable Systems' existing density and power efficiency advantages.
The C1002 features a choice of two hot-swap 3.5" or four hot-swap 2.5" SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) or SATA II (Serial ATA II) disk drives, with capacity of up to two Terabytes per system. Six or eight energy-efficient DDR2 memory slots allow C1002 configurations to reach up to 64GB of memory. Up to 88 C1002 servers can be housed in a Rackable Systems' 44U rack to achieve extreme density with environmentally-friendly, low-power consumption.
"Our new C1002 server broadens the range of Rackable build-to-order server configurations to address demanding market requirements," said Giovanni Coglitore, chief technology officer at Rackable Systems. "Customers will achieve greater storage capacities with the C1002 and attain dual server densities in 1U of rack space to lower the total cost of ownership and increase their organization's ability to cost-effectively scale. It is the perfect Web server."
Rackable Systems' C1002 supports the broad range of dual-core and quad-core processors available from both AMD and Intel:
-- C1002-F1: AMD Opteron 2200/2300 Series processors, nVIDIA nForce Pro 2200 chipset, 8 x DDR2 667 memory
-- C1002-SC1: Intel 5100/5200/5300/5400 series processors, Intel 5100 chipset, 6 x DDR2 667 MHz memory
"With superior capacity and the flexibility of swapping 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives, the C1002 is a highly scalable and energy-efficient server that leverages the benefits of our new 45 nm Quad-Core AMD Opteron processors," said Patrick Patla, vice president and general manager, Server and Workstation division, AMD (AMD) . "Rackable Systems has again demonstrated their ability to deliver a server that sets the bar high for density and low power consumption in our customers' datacenters."
Ideal for powering Web and infrastructure applications such as Microsoft IIS, Microsoft Exchange and Apache, the Rackable Systems C1002 supports industry-leading operating systems such as Microsoft Server (including Web Edition), Red Hat Linux Enterprise and Novell SUSE Linux.
Rackable Systems' award-winning x86 server designs--which help reduce power consumption and cooling costs--can enable some of the world's largest data centers to deploy high density, high performance server configurations while significantly reducing operational expenses and total cost of ownership. Rackable Systems' high efficiency AC and DC power supplies with up to 96.5 percent efficiency*, low-power processors and low-voltage memory all help make the C1002 a highly Eco-Logical server design. As organizations continue to focus on decreasing energy consumption and implementing "green" technology in the data center, Rackable Systems' Eco-Logical server and storage products help them meet these challenges.
Availability
The C1002 is immediately available, both for traditional data centers and as part of the company's award-winning ICE Cube(TM) modular data center. For information about specific configurations and pricing, please visit Rackable Systems at http://www.rackable.com/products.

Not sure who you are but carl has lead his sales teams and companies to record revenues and margins while his sales teams earned big money. I've known Carl for 10 years and would love to work for him again. He leads from the front and tells it like it is.

Carl is driven to success. When he took over at CC everything changed for the better. When left, revenues went down and have never recovered. Most people I know would work for him again in a heart beat.

Carl was the best leader the company ever had. He put in comp plans that drove the revenue upward. Sales morale was high. When he left, a few of us that were in a position to do so, joined Carl at Rackable. The same drive and determination and fairness that Carl lead with at ClearCube duplicated at Rack.
