My father ( a medical doctor) has banked with Union Bank of CA for many years. His secretary of over 30 years told me yesterday about union banks policy changes for transferring funds over the phone etc. She was a little upset because she does sooooo much banking-related activities for my father and moving money around is definitely a frequent task. I will try and show her how to use online banking, but here is the reason I am writing today. She mentioned that security issues were the reason for the banks' policy changes. OBSERVATIONS: I bank with Union Bank also,why is the full endorsement and account number of my payees (those I write checks to) accessible for my viewing on online banking? Also, why am I able to see my father's full account number on my online running bank statement after his secretary transfers money to my account. I have had online banking with USAA-they seem to offer all your same services without compromising their customers personal information. I am offering this as a place to start to help clean up security issues. Best of luck, MES
