i have to agree with singapore
(excuse my french below, but just can't help it)

i have been contacted by alwyn management before regarding some other company, EMI enterprises, and because he caught me in my weak moment somehow i have agreed to invest some amount. eventually by the evening i got my senses together and check out the information on the company on nasdaq, check the website of the company, registration date of the domains for both EMI and Alwyn and lot of other stuff. i ended up sending the guy e-mail with a lot of clarifications, which if not fulfilled/clarified void the agreement made over the phone as they have been trying to do business under false pretenses and that is illegal in country of my residence and country of my citizenship. anyway, i have not transfer any money, thus not lost anything, but after the e-mail and threatening them with a lawyer i have not heard from them again.

today i was contacted by another company called LML global management, this one apparently from Japan, regarding the MPDD and it was all the same dialogue. it's like talking to the fu...ng tree. i would like him to make the offer face to face as i would most likely beat the living s..t out off him as these kind of people, preying on innocent and unaware victims, really make me sick.

just go to nasdaq and check out MPDD stock and its trading over the past 5 years in the charts. that will tell you everything. and 700mil investment is a joke considering amount on the nasdaq

conclusion: IT IS A SCAM so avoid these c.u.n.t.s. You will have to hang up yourself as it is almost impossible to convince them that you are not interested.

Thank god for this site ! I was pressured into buying some MPDD. The broker said that there were no sales because everyone knew it was going to go ballistic. He told me that he had bought $100,000 worth himself, but his company had some surplus which he could sell me as a discount so that I would become a valued client. He pressured me endlessly about my assets, and said that I should have an offshore account which he would set up for me, and then I would not have to pay tax in Austtralia. I tried to tell him that my money was invested in olive groves, and he said that this was a once in a lifetime deal, and that I should take out a mortgage against the olive groves to buy MPDD, and that I would never regret it. He was insistent that I do my 'due diligence' but also insistent that I bought some stock. I agreed to buy $5000 worth. Before I could get to the bank, the 'senior broker' called me, and said that time was running out, and the stock was almost all allocated. He had, however, discussed it with his 'allocations manager' and I could take the last parcel, $50,000, if I acted immediately. $50,000 would also make me a 'priveledged investor', and I would get first chance at future deals which were currently being researched by their 'Takeovers and Acquisitions' analysts at this very moment.

My 'due diligence' led me to this site, which about the only thing on the entire internet that mentions MPDD. I have stopped payment on the $5,000 transfer (which, fortunately, was scheduled for Monday business hours).

Alwyn first cold called me in Feb this year but I soon guessed that there was something not right about them and told them I wasn't interested. Recently they've called again, English accent this time, with the EMIE stock story and the stuff about an impending contract with JC Penney (see a previous post). All crap. Checked out EMIE but seems to be a shell as well. Some stuff about a new approach to home furnishings but the link to their 'associated' company doesn't resolve. Bloke from Alwyn talked about them being in furniture manufacturing but seems more like an investment scam to me.

Like many of you, I hung up after telling the guy in no uncertain terms that I had no intention of investing with them. He was still vigorously talking away to himself as I put the receiver down.

Have seen their brochure - professional looking, yes - but hollow! No names, no data on Alwyn itself, just a lot of meaningless words.

Good luck to anyone who's invested with them but try and be realistic.

I have 5,000 MPDD stock. I very sad read this site. BUT good news. I got called by a man from a law firm in Singapore said he had instructions to buy up MPDD as fast as possible at $26 per share ! Because some takeover and company had 45% and needed to get 50.1%. Make 500 % sounds good.

BUT I do not receive stock certificate yet. He say OK, part of the service.

I must send 10% fee for TRANSFER FEE. Bank is in Cyprus. (said low fees, no taxes in Cyprus). I thought Singapore low tax.

Contract says must pay $13,000 transfer fees plus brokerage 1.5 % is $1950. I think is greedy pay transfer and brokerage also is.

Do you think fair me pay both fees ?

Anyway, I got a call with the same EMIE offer today.. supply with JC Penny etc. They had already sent me out their ANWYN brochure. They are a company based in India now...

I am convinced that either some of you forum posters are complete idiots asking why other posters think its a scam when some guy offers another poster tons of money as long as they pay a deposit.... are you kidding? Either a complete idiot OR.... Part of the SCAM!!!

I truly believe nobody can be that stupid and therefore you are posting on here trying to convince other posters that the whole scam is honest and indeed NOT a scam...

Afraid I'm one of the suckers. Have contacted Alwyn to advise of friends in Interpol, Japan and also friends in Korea who will be contacting them.
They called back in semi-panic and righteous indignation to say the company is legit - absolute twaddle of course.
Suggest if anyone has their location, it be posted here so that someone can chase after them To all of us sucked in, write it off and forget it. With a bit of luck if we can find them, we might be able to salvage something

THIS IS DEFINITELY PART OF THE SCAM!!! DON'T PART WITH ANY MORE MONEY! They did the same to me. You can be sure that they will string you along for months. Even if you paid the money to this guy, you will then receive another call saying that there is some tax bill thay you need to settle before you receive your payment. My advice is: cut your losses and get out of the scam as soon as you can.

Clearly a few of us are the victims of a cross-border scam. I have consulted with INTERPOL officers (and you can also check the website) and this is what you should do: You go to your LOCAL police station and report all the information that you have. Telephone numbers, fax numbers, emails, ESPECIALLY THE BANK ACCOUNT WHERE YOU SENT YOUR MONEY (this is the easiest way to track down the beneficiaries), Give them every piece of information and documentaiton that you have. You can also give them the address of this MEssage Board, so they can see the international scale of this scam.

When your local police force is informed that this is an International scam, they will work with othe Police forcesa around the world to share information. For example, the bank account where I sent my moeny was in Hong Kong, so it is important that the Hong Kong Police force is mobilised through the INTERPOL network. Nevertheless, I have reasons to suspect that these bastards were working out of Canada, just across the border from New York state.

I encourage all of you to do this, and hopefully we will see these cowardly jerks behind bars soon.

I got a call from some American guy, Johnathon, from 'Worldwide Asset Management', wanting to buy my MPDD for $12.50 per share. It all sounded legitimate. He said that if the price was $1.05, then his 'high end clients' could claim a loss of $11.45 per share against their capital gains in other stocks, and by doing this get back 200% tax deduction under R&D clauses.

What made me suspicious is that (1) he got my cell phone number from 'the share registry' which was 'available to any legitimate broker who paid a search fee'. And (2), Johnathon said that there had been a 2 for 1 split announced, and that even though I thought I had 5000 units in MPDD I actually have 10000, and this is what will be put on the contract of sale.

I told him to ring back in 7 days. He rang back the next day, and gave me a pressure sell. There was a 'time pause' on the phone, so he is somewhere on the other side of the planet. I told him not to ring me for 6 days.

Any suggestions while I am waiting ?

Hi Dazed & Confused: This is part of the scam. They did exactly the same to me. They said that they myine would be 5 for 1. So my 2,000 shares became 10,000 and the price of each share also went up by a factor of 5. In short I was told that my shares had become worth more than USD 220,000.

If you go ahead you will receive a contract for sure. But there is a catch! You will be asked to put some money into a phoney "escrow" account as a "bond". Then you will be told that the payment will happen shortly. But just before the payment is released you will receive another phone call saying that some taxes need to be paid first. My dear friend, believe me each step is part of the same scam! You have already been conned when you bought the shares! They will con you again if you pay any money into an escrow account! And then again if you pay money for the taxes. It's all bogus. You own no shares at all! All you own is a piece of paper signed by people who don't exist and who use bogus names. Do yourself a favour. Cut your losses and report everything to your local police, just like I did.

The contract arrived and it said 10,000. So I could not sign it anyway, as I could not have completed my side of the contract. I wonder what would have happened about that ?

I just had another call from these guys. Instead of a cash contract, it would be even better for his 'high end clients looking for tax losses' if the contract was a stock swap, plus cash. My 10,000 (?) MPDD can be exchanged on an off-market transaction for discounted stock in Microsoft or a few others. This would give his 'clients' a double tax loss deduction. However, if I wished to take up this option, in order to 'satisfy Security Exchange Commission' I would first need to be on the shareholder registry of the other company, to the tune of 25% of the stock I would be picking up. This would avoid scrutiny by authorities. So, if I buy 25% of $125,000 worth of Microsoft, the rest of the deal can go through. New (alternative) contracts on the way for my perusal.

I told him that my financial advisor, Vincent, advised against it. He was angry, and wanted Vincent's qualifications. I hope you don't mind, Vincent, but you are now Harvard MBA.

Anyway, he won't get any money out of me. I thought I should share this scam variation with the forum.

I have no idea what the last 2 pages were about except some mad ramblings of 'no way'. I assume that whatever it was, it was designed to athrow a spanner in the works to disrupt the thread and throw people off. And no one really has made a comment. I did love his pidgeon english though. Very very similar to the spelling and syntax of the 1000's of Nigerian email scams i get.

I'm really glad that there are a few people who have read this thread and avoided the scam.

One thing that makes me laugh is the way some of you are asking for advice such as; "I agreed on the phone to buy- do i have to go through with it??" and "they asked me for this and that and im scared - what is my legal rights here???"

You seriously can't be that dumb!! Seriously. Have some fun with them. Tell them youll buy all their stock. All of it. tell 'em youll invest a million. And then sit back and have some fun with it.

Lead them on for as long as you want. Get them to waste the money on phone calls. write a phoney cheque, anything. You see , they are a nothing boiler room with no office no nothing and are not even where they say they are. A good trick is to tell them your going to drop the money off at their office in korea or wherever they are as youll be there next week. They of course will say the office is closed that day or they are away etc but thats ok tell them youll be there for a while. Whatever. REMEMBER EVERYTHING THEY SEND TO YOU OR SAY IS FALSE AND FAKE INCLUDING THEIR CONTRACTS AND CONTRACT NOTES (if they ever send you one)

by the way, thank you DJ. i wish more people would come forward to disclose their experience with how this man bullies and harass people in the work place and perhaps we can file a class action law suit against him and the company. after all he has sold himself for hundreds of thousands of dollars and since he cant find anything to occupy his time - a law suit should suffice.
