Look at RHD man. It went from 1.30 to 3.90. IAR is also going beyond $3. Short Squeeze coming soon. And the new management looks very promising.

Well I have been buying Idearc since it was GTE, then Verizon, and now Idearc. I've lost a ton of money and I still hold all my shares of Idearc, which isn't worth anything. I donât think we will see $38 a share prices again but it will come back to $10-$15 in the next 5-10 years. This company is strong in sales, and it using layoffs with packages to entice current employees to retire/resign. This will have a huge impact on overall profit, as they will no longer being paying nice 401k plans, great insurance, and high wages to so many of their web development teams. They will out source, or consolidate to a main office instead of several various office strung out through the US. This will eventually allow for either a buy out, or easier refinancing options on their nine (9) billion dollar loan. It's at a great price to buy quaniity now.

Unfortunately yellow page publisher stocks follow the economic trend. Hurricane IKE has taken its toll on the Midwest and the stock market. Let's hope the Idearc debt has not been financed with Lehman Brothers.
On a positive note: No hurricanes in the forecast

Basically I don't see a decline in paperback directories (yellow or white pages versions) demands. Typically people who were delivered the telephone directories request addition copies for their homes. I worked as a call representitive for the delivery division and can confirm constant request for them. As for advertisement sale, I can only say you would have to look within... We just have to remember, a directory advertisement is a sure long term investment when getting you ads to specific markets. O do not see this sector of marketing as a real phase out- long or shert term.

Everyone is expecting recession getting over soon. I have a very close friend, who graduated from Harvard. Worked for ML for over 8 years, recently he’s been “right sized” too, despite of his outstanding performance and the increasing revenue he generated. OMG, now the banking industry is badly hurt, how long it would take for those financial background guys like him get back to the job market. Banking jobs are not there as much as before
