(Nasdaq: GISX) announced today that it has promoted two officers to senior
vice president, adjusted two key officers' titles to more accurate
ly reflect
their current responsibilities, and named a new vice president of service:
- Cecil McClary, 63, vice president - human resources, to senior vice
president - human resources.
- Larry Paine, 49, vice president and general counsel, to senior vice
president and general counsel.
- Paul Schulman, 46, senior vice president - business development, to
senior vice president - operations.
- Al Vieira, 58, vice president - operations/service, to vice president -
operations.
- Jerry Newberry, 46, director of service operations, promoted to vice
president - service.
Tom Johnson, chairman and CEO of Global Imaging Systems, said, 'The moves
we are announcing today are part of our planned strategy to align our senior
staff in support of Global's future growth. These appointments and new titles
are effective immediately.'
Cecil McClary Biographical Data
Mr. McClary continues to lead the company's efforts to provide career
opportunities and benefits to employees nationwide. He joined Global Imaging
in 2002 as vice president, human resources. A psychology graduate from the
University of South Carolina, he was a compensation manager with Walt Disney
for 10 years. He then served 23 years at Georgia Pacific's Unisource Division
where he designed, developed and implemented human resources programs.
Larry Paine Biographical Data
Mr. Paine joined Global in 2004 as vice president, general counsel and
secretary. Mr. Paine has more than 23 years' legal experience, including 19
years in corporate law. Previously, he was senior counsel for the St. Joe
Company in Jacksonville , assistant state attorney in Naples and in private
practice in St. Petersburg . He earned BA and MA degrees from the University of
Florida and a JD degree from Stetson University College of Law.
Paul Schulman Biographical Data
Mr. Schulman is the former owner and president of Carr Business Systems, a
Global Imaging Systems core company based in Melville, NY. Since 2005, he had
served as Global's senior vice president - business development. As senior
vice president - operations his responsibilities include asset management, IT
infrastructure, print management initiative, service and vendor relations.
Al Vieira Biographical Data
Mr. Vieira, with over 25 years in the office automation industry, has been
responsible for Global's service and operations since the company was founded.
He speaks four languages and studied electrical engineering at City University
of New York. After opening a family electronics business, he was a service
technician for a major independent Canon dealer. Before joining Global, he was
vice president of service and operations for one of Canon's five largest
independent dealers responsible for service, inventories, facilities,
performance measurements, software utilization and vendor relations.
Jerry Newberry Biographical Data
Mr. Newberry, director of service since 2003, continues to work with
service managers across the company to attain the Global service and financial
benchmarks. He has been instrumental in the success of Global's service
performance since 1999, when he joined the company as service support manager.
He spent 10 years at Xerox Corporation including three years as part of the
group responsible for field support nationally. Earlier, he held vice
president of service positions with two independent dealers in Virginia and
North Carolina, and he owned 'Proserv,' a service consulting firm.
