BLOOMFIELD, Conn., March 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Kaman Corp. (Nasdaq: KAMN) today announced that Eric B. Remington will become vice president, investor relations on April 1, 2008 , and that Russell H. Jones, senior vice president, chief investment officer and treasurer will retire on March 31, 2008 , the date of his 35th anniversary with the company. Remington, 41, will assume the investor and public relations responsibilities currently held by Jones.

Robert M. Garneau, executive vice president and chief financial officer said, 'Eric has an extensive understanding of the company and its history, management, operations, culture and goals. His experience with the company has uniquely qualified him for this position. I believe he is ideal for the task of continuing to build on the investor and public relations functions that Russ has developed to communicate the company's message. Russ has done an extraordinary job developing the company's treasury and investor relations functions and is leaving us with great platforms to continue. His retirement is well earned after many years of dedicated service to Kaman.'

Remington, a CPA, is currently Kaman's vice president, business development, a role he has held since 2001. Prior to that, he was assistant vice president, internal audit and has served in a variety of positions with the company since 1992. Prior to joining Kaman he was an associate at Ernst &Young, Hartford .

Remington received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Western New England College in Springfield , Massachusetts. He has been an active community volunteer in his hometown of Suffield, Connecticut and is a member of the Retirement Commission; currently serving on his third Charter Revision Commission; a long time member of the Republican Town Committee and is currently serving as Chairman; past member of the Board of Selectmen; and former member of the Board of Education. He and his wife, Dianne, have three children.

Jones, 64, has been Kaman's senior vice president, chief investment officer and treasurer since 2003. Before that appointment he served in a variety of officer positions with the company since 1973. He was previously employed as a loan officer by the company's bank, Hartford National Bank, where he served on the Kaman account and was personally recruited by Charles H. Kaman the company's founder and Chairman Emeritus.
