COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Max & Erma's (Nasdaq: MAXE) is rolling out a steakhouse-style menu Oct. 15 featuring three steaks, a Pittsburgh-style steak salad and a Philly steak sandwich. The items will be on the menu for a limited time.

The promotion enables guests to customize their steaks with a choice of four sauces - bearnaise, wild mushroom, bleu cheese or Dijon butter.

'Consistently, our guests tell us that they want choices, and we're giving them many options with The Perfect Steak promotion,' said Erin Reckner, Senior Director of Marketing for Max & Erma's. 'We will cook their steak to order, complement it with a sauce of their choice and add two sides for under $20 .'

Max & Erma's Executive Chef Bob Davis recommends the following 'perfect' steak combinations:

     * New York Strip Steak - $19.99: Enjoy this USDA choice strip with bleu
cheese crumbles, steamed, buttered broccoli and a baked potato.
     * Filet Mignon - $15.99: The filet is recommended with the bearnaise
sauce, parmesan garlic fries and a small tossed salad.
     * Sirloin Steak - $14.99: This USDA choice sirloin goes great with wild
mushroom sauce, a baked potato and jalapeno creamed corn.

For quick lunch options, Max & Erma's added the Pittsburgh Steak Salad and Philly Steak Sandwich to the menu. Parmesan garlic fries and jalapeno creamed corn have been added to the menu for the promotion.

The featured appetizer for the promotion is made-from-scratch French onion soup with caramelized onions, Swiss, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Known for their great selection of desserts, Max & Erma's new carrot cake is the featured dessert, served warm with melting, cream cheese icing.

'This menu is part of a larger effort on the part of Max & Erma's to allow our guests to customize our menu to their individual tastes and preferences,' said Reckner. 'We take pride in the fact that our steaks are grilled over an open flame. Our steak lovers deserve nothing less and this is another opportunity to showcase our superior food quality.'
